Welcome to fourth Grade Math and Science! We are super excited for this year! We will be investigating and exploring various science and math topics. As the year progresses, your child will have many opportunities for a hands on learning with science labs and math stations, as well as refining our math skills.
This is my 10th year of teaching. I taught for 6 years in Cypress Fairbanks ISD, and am honored to be working here in Tomball! I have taught first and third grade language arts, as well as fourth grade math and science. I grew up in the lovely town of Wimberley, Tx  located in the Texas hill country, and graduated from Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX with a degree in Elementary Education. I am also ESL and GT certified.
My goal is for your child to be a successful life long learner, and to challenge your child to think outside the box in new and creative ways. If you ever need anything, please feel to contact me. I know with us working together, your child will have an incredible and awesome time here in fourth grade!  Here's to a wonderful year!

Some suggestions for items to use to decorate:

Scrapbook paper
We will have limited a limited supply of decorations. Your child is welcome to bring in their own items or items to share also! On Friday, after our decorating party, your child will be bringing their notebook home to complete any last minute touches.

Caine's Arcade Project

Hi parents!
We introduced a project today called Caine's Arcade. Students have an info sheet that you can look over. Basically, students are creating an arcade game out of things that they could find at home (cardboard, misc items, papers, etc). I told students to be creative and not to buy things, but to use items around the house or home (with your permission of course first!)! They are really excited about this! We are going to be working on this project in the classroom throughout the week and will have Kindergarten and First grade test out our creations on the 31st! Here is Caine's arcade website if you would like to check it out!
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Have a great day!
