My name is Molly Schwarze and I am the ESL specialist at Creekside Forest Elementary. This is my ninth year at Tomball ISD. I am very excited to support your child in their journey with English learning and academic success!

Even though it is my ninth year at Creekside, it is my twelfth year in education. I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University where I received my bachelor's degree in Education. I am EC-6, ESL, and GT certified. As a life-long learner, I have many individual goals still to reach in education.

I have a 9th grade son, Mack, who attended Creekside for a few years and is now a sophomore at Tomball High School! We are looking forward to a successful freshman year both academically and in his sports. On the weekends, we enjoy hiking, fishing (him, not me :) ), playing baseball (lots of it), and reading.

Please let me know how I can support your child feel successful and celebrated at Creekside Forest Elementary.

Week of January 19th-22nd

Hello 3rd Grade Families!

It was our first full week back in the 2021 New Year. We covered a lot this week, including celebrating our unique traits and differences. I will post a picture of our hands we created and decorated to share our unique traits. We also dove into division this week. Have your child show you some of the different ways they practiced division. I was so proud of the strategies and work they showed. The big challenge we will face these next few weeks is determining the correct operation in word problems. You can help at home by asking them the difference between multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction and have them model and explan. Division-separating equally. Multiplication-joining equal groups. Addition-combining two or more things for a total. Subtraction-taking away to find a difference.

Don't forget that Monday is a holiday. School will start Tuesday next week.
Here is the 3rd Grade Smore to see what is coming up for next week:

Hope you have a great 3 day weekend. Thanks for sharing your awesome kiddos with me this year.

January 11th-14th, First Full Week of 2021

Hello 3rd Grade Families!

I was so excited to see your child this week. I had a wonderful break, but definitely missed their smiling faces and their awesome brains. We reviewed our multiplication skills and dug into soil in Science.

Here is the Smore for next week: https://www.smore.com/1twre

Keep practicing those multiplication facts! Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great weekend.
