Welcome to fourth Grade Math and Science! We are super excited for this year! We will be investigating and exploring various science and math topics. As the year progresses, your child will have many opportunities for a hands on learning with science labs and math stations, as well as refining our math skills.
This is my 10th year of teaching. I taught for 6 years in Cypress Fairbanks ISD, and am honored to be working here in Tomball! I have taught first and third grade language arts, as well as fourth grade math and science. I grew up in the lovely town of Wimberley, Tx  located in the Texas hill country, and graduated from Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX with a degree in Elementary Education. I am also ESL and GT certified.
My goal is for your child to be a successful life long learner, and to challenge your child to think outside the box in new and creative ways. If you ever need anything, please feel to contact me. I know with us working together, your child will have an incredible and awesome time here in fourth grade!  Here's to a wonderful year!

Figure It Out Project Info

Hi parents!
We are starting a really awesome project in math called the Figure It Out Project where they are creating their own arcade games using boxes or other materials from around the house. This will be something that students work on in class. Today students might be asking for boxes and other random things  to use to create their arcade games. I have attached the handout of things that might be usable for them! Students will be presenting their games to the kindergarten and 1st grade levels next week! Thank you in advance!
Y'all have a great day!

From our 4th grade reading teachers:Wax Museum is Wednesday, May 23rd, 1:15-3:00.  Make sure you mark your calendars! Your child will not need to come to school dressed up.  They will have time after lunch that day to get prepared. You are welcome to come help them get dressed at 12:45.  Due to safety please make sure you have your identification. We will NOT be able to enter the cafeteria until 1:15.  This will allow the custodians time to clean up after lunch. Thank you for staying in our pod area. Luckily, your child will already have an assigned spot to set up their presentation when we enter.

STAAR Fruit Donations

Next week our students will be taking the Math and Reading STAAR Tests.  For the Writing STAAR Test, we provided bananas and grapes.  We would like to ask for donations for bananas and grapes for next Monday and Tuesday.  The grapes will need to be washed and placed in snack Ziploc bags.  The kiddos will eat this as a healthy snack before the test begins.  Thank you again for helping to make our mathematicians and readers successful! If you are interested in helping out, please email me and let me know!
